Naman Ojha and Irfan Pathan starred with the bat to help India Legends beat Australia Legends by 5 wickets and seal a spot in the finals of the Road Safety World Series 2022 in Raipur on Thursday. Chasing 172, Ojha made an unbeaten 90 while Pathan belted an unbeaten 37 off 12 to take them over the line in 19.2 Overs.
India Legends will now face the winner of the second semi-final between West Indies Legends and Sri Lanka Legends in the final. Cameron White and Brad Haddin stitched a solid 40-run stand in the last three overs to help Australia
Legends post a competitive total of 171/5 after resuming on Thursday.
Sachin Tendulkar and Naman Ojha gave India Legends a good start during the chase before the Indian captain was dismissed in the sixth over. India Legends then lost Suresh Raina, but the in-form Ojha and Yuvraj Singh brought India back into the match.
They were pegged back for a bit after Yuvraj, Suresh Raina, Stuart Binny, and Yusuf Pathan all fell within a few balls of each other, but Irfan Pathan unleashed himself in the 19th over to complete the chase.
