In cricket, the first test of the three-match series between India and New Zealand will be played in Bengaluru from today. The hosts are currently at the top of the ICC World Test Championship points table, and victory in this series will further strengthen their hopes of qualifying for the final for the third time in a row. India will also be aiming for their 19th
consecutive series win at home since the 2012-13 season.
Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian side, while wicketkeeper batter Tom Latham will captain the Kiwis. The second Test will be played from 24 to 28 October in Pune. The third and final test will take place from 1st to 5th of November in Mumbai.
