India and Pakistan played their shortest World Cup match on Saturday, October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The marquee clash lasted for only 73.2 overs as the Men in Blue took an 8-0 lead over their arch-rivals.

Their previous shortest game came back on June 16, 2019 when the two teams only played out 90

overs at Old Trafford in Manchester. That was also the match when rain played a part and the DLS par score came into the picture.

Their longest match was the 2011 World Cup semis at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, when 99.5 overs took place. India went on to win the match by 29 runs to advance to the final, where they beat Sri Lanka.
