India are set to tour Ireland for a three-match T20I series in the month of August. The team will take part in a three-match T20I series right after the conclusion of the all-format series against West Indies.

The series is set to start on August 18 and will wrap up by August 23 as per an ICC release. Announcing the development, Ireland's CEO of cricket, Warren Deutrom said that they were delighted to welcome the Indian national team for the second time in little more than two years.

“We’re delighted to welcome India Men back to Ireland for the second time in 12 months,” Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland said in a statement.

“We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so to have a three-match series this year should give even more fans the opportunity to enjoy what is always a memorable occasion.

“Our sincere thanks to the BCCI,

first, for their continued inclusion of Ireland in the Indian team’s busy itinerary and also for working with us to ensure as fan-friendly a schedule a possible – having matches on a Friday and Sunday will hopefully maximise availability of fans.”

The last time India toured Ireland, they played a two-match T20I series, both of which India won. Deepak Hooda, fresh of his exploits in the Indian Premier League hit a tremendous century in the shortest format of the international game. Hardik Pandya captained the team overseas in the absence of the senior India players who were in England preparing for their final Test match of the England Test series, that had been postponed.

The Indian national team or the board of Control for Cricket in India have not announced any confirmation of the dates regarding the tour yet. As per the ICC, India will play three T20Is, on 18, 20 and 23 August all in Malahide.
