India will play their inaugural World Test Championship final against New Zealand at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl Stadium from June 18-22, confirmed BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
Ganguly said, Southampton had been decided a long time ago. He added, they have the hotel, which makes it easier for them to control (the bio-secure environment). It was, however,
originally scheduled at Lord’s. ICC would make an announcement about the venue in due course, according to sources.
Virat Kohli’s India will face New Zealand in the final following their 3-1 home series victory against England last week. New Zealand will play a two-test series in England in June before taking on India.
