Hosts were all out at 227 runs on day one after winning the toss and chosing to bat. Visitors trail Bangladesh by 208 runs as bad light forced early stumps on day one. Top scorer for the hosts was Mominul Haque, with 84 runs.
The KL Rahul-led Indian side leads the two-match
series, 1-0 after winning the opening game by 188 runs.
The win handed Team India the boost they needed to stay in the World Test Championship contention. Another win will put India in a better position in the WTC rankings and can increase their chances to make it to the finals.
NOTE: India made 64 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 23 overs. Cheteshwar Pujara was batting on 21 runs and Virat Kohli batting on 11 runs when the last reports came in.
