London: India will resume its second innings on day three against England in the fourth Test, at The Oval today. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul took India to 43 for no loss at stumps as the visitors are still trailing by 56 runs. India finished the day with Rohit unbeaten on 20 and KL Rahul not out on 22. Earlier, England posted a total of 290 in the first innings and took a 99 runs lead against India.
On day two, England recovered very well
after it lost 5 wickets for just 62 runs. It was the partnership between Bairstow and Pope that steadied the England ship, and then Pope and Woakes helped England stretch its lead closer to the 100-run mark.
For India, Umesh Yadav took three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja scalped two wickets each. India were all out for 191 in their first innings on day one itself.
