Chasing the target of 329, Australia were all out for 228 in 42.5 overs.
For India, pacers Kamlesh Nagrakoti and Shivam Mavi claimed three wickets each.
India who are in Group B, will next play Papua New Guinea on Tuesday. Zimbabwe is the other side in the four-team group.
