The Indian Cricket Team is leaving for UK today and is scheduled to reach London tomorrow on a charter flight. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is yet to mention the exact length of India’s isolation period in Southampton.
The Indian men’s and women’s cricket squads travelling to England have got an approval by the UK Government for the families of the players and support staff to accompany them. to leave for UK today on marathon tour to play six Test matches
The Indian men’s contingent will be in the UK from June to September 14th. They will face New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship final in Southampton starting June 18th before facing England in a series of 5 Tests from August 4th. The WTC has been exempted from standard Covid-19 protocols by the UK government.
The Indian women’s team , will play its first Test match since 2014 in Bristol under Mithali Raj from June 16th before Harmanpreet Kaur takes over the captaincy for the 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is from June.
