Australia bounced back from the Super Over defeat on Sunday to put on a dominant show in the 3rd T20I of a 5-match series against India at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, December 14. Led by Ellyse Perry and Grace Harris's fireworks with the bat, Australia were able to clinch a 21-run win in the 3rd T20I to go 2-1 up in the series.

Australia had clinched a dominant 9-wicket win in the T20I series opener but lost in a thrilling Super Over in the 2nd T20I.

Ahead of another good turnout at the Brabourne Stadium, Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to field.

Renuka Singh gave India the perfect start, removing captain Alyssa Healy for 1 as early as the first over with a sharp inswinger. Anjali Sarvani joined the action, going through World No. 1 batter Tahila McGrath's defence in her first over as Australia slipped to 5 for 2 inside the 2nd

over.

However, Beth Mooney and Ellyse Perry consolidated, stitching a 64-run stand for the 3rd wicket. Devika Vaidya broke the crucial partnership, removing Mooney for 30 and struck again to remove Ash Gardner for 7.

Australia were in a spot of bother again, slipping to 89 for 4 in 11 overs.

However, Perry and Grace Harris combine to take the attack to the India bowlers. Harris hit 41 from just 18 balls, smashing 3 sixes and 4 boundaries while Perry hit 3 sixes and 9 boundaries.

It was a strong comeback from Perry who notched up her 5th T20I fifty as Australia posted 172 for 8 on the board in 20 overs. Deepti Sharma, Devika Vaidya, Anjali and Renuka picked up 2 wickets each for India.

Brief Scores: Australia (172 for 8 in 20 ov, Perry 75, Devika 2/22) beat India (151 for 7 in 20 ov, Shafali 52, Brown 2/19) by 21 runs.
