Delhi Capitals, on Monday, named 27-year-old uncapped leg-spinner Pravin Dube as a replacement for Amit Mishra who was ruled out of IPL 2020 with a finger injury. Pravin Dube has played 14 T20s for Karnataka, taking 16 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.87.

Pravin Dube will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with top-quality spinners of the likes of R Ashwin, Axar Patel and Sandeep Lamichchane at the Delhi Capitals.

Amit Mishra played 3 matches for Delhi Capitals at IPL 2020 before he suffered the finger injury during their game against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah on October 3. Notably, Mishra got an opportunity in the playing XI after R Ashwin suffered a shoulder injury. However, Mishra

retained his place in the playing XI even after Ashwin returned from the injury.

Delhi Capitals revealed that the 37-year-old spinner underwent surgery and is currently recovering. Mishra is only 2nd on the all-time wicket-taker's list of IPL with 160 wickets, 10 less than Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga.

Despite missing some of their key stars, including Ishant Sharma, Mishra and Rishabh Pant, due to injury concerns, Delhi Capitals are at the top of the IPL 2020 points table with 7 wins in 9 matches. Shreyas Iyer's men outclassed Chennai Super Kings on Saturday after Shikhar Dhawan hit his maiden IPL hundred and Axar Patel came up with a late cameo, hitting 3 sixes when they needed 18 in the final over in Dubai.
