IPL 2022: Lucknow franchise named as Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow's IPL franchise, which is owned by RPSG Group, was named Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction. The team owner Sanjiv Goenka made the announcement on



Monday.

The official IPL team of Lucknow crowdsourced its name from its fans and the consumer engagement campaign was launched on social media on 3rd January 2022. On Monday, Goenka shared the team name and thanked all the fans who participated.
