Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell began his mandatory 3-day quarantine after joining the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp on Friday in Mumbai. The star player is likely to be available for RCB's next IPL 2022 match against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.

Maxwell missed the first two matches of the IPL 2022 season for RCB despite not being part of the senior national team of Australia that is currently touring Pakistan. Maxwell earlier this week had his traditional Indian wedding with long-time girlfriend Vini Raman in Chennai. Notably, the two tied the knot at a private affair

earlier this month in Australia before heading down to Chennai.

Maxwell will have to undergo 3-day mandatory quarantine and return a negative RT-PCR test on the 4th day before joining the RCB bio-bubble in Mumbai.

RCB shared a video on social media, giving a glimpse of Maxwell's quarantine hotel.

In Maxwell's absence, RCB lost their opening match to Punjab Kings but fought back to beat Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. The former finalists played Faf du Plessis (Captain), Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey and Sherfane Rutherford as their 4 overseas players.
