IPL 2023: England all-rounder Ben Stokes joins CSK camp ahead of the tournament

The wait for the Chennai SuperKings fans is finally over as England all-rounder Ben Stokes has officially joined the squad ahead of the IPL 2023 season.

Stokes was the big buy for CSK during the IPL 2023 auction as he was bought by the franchise for Rs. 16.25 crores. This made him the costliest buy in the franchise's history.

Many have called him as a potential candidate to replace MS Dhoni as the captain of the franchise once the former Indian skipper decides to call it a



day.

The England all-rounder was last seen in action leading the Test team in their series against New Zealand. Stokes has been leading from the front since taking up the role of captain of the England Test team. He and Brendon McCullum have changed the view the longest format of the game that has been played in recent times with their fearless 'Bazball' mantra.

Now, Stokes has finally made his way to join the four-time IPL Champions, who posted an uber-cool video to announce the 31-year-old's arrival and link up with the team.
