Former India batter Wasim Jaffer has been appointed as the new batting coach for Punjab Kings for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Meanwhile, former Australia batter Brad Haddin will take charge as the assistant coach of Punjab Kings for next season.
The Punjab-based IPL franchise announced Jaffer’s appointment on Twitter, saying they’ve signed the one they had been waiting for.

Earlier, Jaffer had announced his departure from the Punjab Kings franchise as their batting coach on the eve of 2022 IPL mega auction. Jaffer had joined the then Kings XI Punjab in 2019 and worked closely with the support staff till the 2021 season. Currently, Jaffar is fulfilling the role of a batting consultant for Bangladesh’s Under-19 and ‘A’ side.
Punjab Kings also announced the appointment of Bard Haddin as their assistant coach for the upcoming season. They took to Twitter to make the announcement.
