Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli enthralled the Chinnaswamy crowd with a stroke-filled 61 against Lucknow Super Giants in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Monday. Kohli was batting on 61 and looked set for his sixth IPL hundred when the wily Amit Mishra outfoxed the RCB star and got his wicket in his first over of the match.

The star Indian batter made his intentions clear from the first ball he faced, stepping down to Jayadev Unadkat. The Chinnaswamy crowd was set for a feast as Kohli turned back the clock with the full range of his shots against the likes of Mark Wood, Krunal Pandya and Avesh Khan.

Notably, Kohli was in fine form in Royal Challengers Bangalore's season opener against Mumbai Indians at Chinnaswamy Stadium as the star batter top-scored for the hosts with a 49-ball 82 and added 148 with his opening partner and captain Faf du Plessis in pursuit of 172. Kohli then scored

21 runs off 18 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders as RCB failed to chase down 205 points at Eden Gardens. Back in Bengaluru, Kohli looked in fine form as he raced to his second half-century of the tournament.

Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul won the toss and asked Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to bat in the IPL 2023 clash at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday. Both the teams have made a few changes, as Mark Wood returns to LSG playing XI. Bangalore have given a chance to Wayne Parnell to strengthen their bowling attack.
RCB playing XI: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis(c), Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik(w), Anuj Rawat, David Willey, Wayne Parnell, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj
