SRH owner Kavya Maran was left in tears after KKR decimated the Pat Cummins-led Hyderabad side to win their third IPL title in a one-sided final that will be remembered for its sheer dominance. As the match concluded, cameras captured a tearful Kavya, who had passionately supported her team throughout the season. Despite SRH's strong run, they fell short in the final hurdle, facing a formidable KKR side that was relentless in its pursuit of victory. Soon after KKR won the IPL 2024 final, SRH owner Kavya Maran was captured in a heartbroken state in the stands.

Although she was let down by her team's abysmal performance in the all-important final, Kavya showed a huge heart by applauding the opponent instantly. Having lost the toss, KKR produced a clinical effort with the ball to dismiss SRH for 113, the lowest-ever total in an IPL title clash. KKR chased down the target of 114 with as many as 57 balls to spare. Venkatesh Iyer remained not out on 52 off 26 balls.

KKR's captain, Shreyas Iyer, was seen with a bright smile, taking a stump as a souvenir to mark the triumphant moment. The atmosphere in the KKR camp was electric, contrasting sharply with the gloomy mood in the SRH dugout. SRH owner Kavya Maran, a passionate supporter throughout the season,

was seen in tears, a poignant image of the night's contrasting emotions. The match saw stellar performances from KKR's star players, with Sunil Narine standing out. In a heartwarming moment, Narine lifted Gautam Gambhir, KKR's mentor, and a figure known for his stoic demeanor. Gambhir, in return, beamed with joy, a rare sight that captured the essence of KKR's joyous celebrations.

The whole team springs onto the field of play in ecstasy and boy, they deserve this win so much. One of the all-time greatest team performances in a Final and Kolkata have simply blown away Hyderabad to pick up their third Indian T20 League Trophy. From start to finish, Kolkata looked in control and once they made those early inroads in the first innings, they never let their opponents breathe for a minute. After being asked to bowl first, Shreyas Iyer seemed happy and the likes of Mitchell Starc and co did a fine job upfront. Needing just 114 runs for the win, Sunil Narine fell early but Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit a few boundaries and then Venkatesh Iyer took the bull by its horns and made the Hyderabad bowlers pay. Not even for a minute did Kolkata look to be under any sorts of pressure and they have rounded off a fine season, finishing top of the group table and now, they have gone the distance as well.
