The Indian Premier League (IPL) announced a shortlist of 574 players who will go under the hammer during the mega auction, scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. A total of 81 players, including some of the big names from India, have kept their base price at Rs 2 crore -- the highest bracket on the shortlist.
There are a total of 366 Indian players and 208 overseas players in the final list of players who will be auctioned. The IPL organisers pruned the longlist of 1574 players, cutting down 1000 players.
There will be two sets of marquee players who will be auctioned early on Day 1 of the two-day mega
auction.
