The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 schedule was announced by the organisers on Sunday. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22. The final will be played on May 25 at the home of the 2024 champions.

A total of 74 matches will be played across 13 venues in India, the BCCI announced. Heavyweights Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will meet as early as the second day of IPL 2025 in Chennai. Last year's finalists SunRisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad on March 23.

Apart from the cities



of the 10 teams, the matches will be played in Visakhapatnam, Guwahati and Dharamsala with Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals playing some of their home games at these venues.

The BCCI has ensured there is no dearth of excitement as they have scheduled two matches between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The league stage will end on May 18 and the playoffs will be hosted by Hyderabad and Kolkata. The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be played in Hyderabad while the Qualifier 2 and the final will be played in Kolkata.
