Navi Mumbai: In the IPL Cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by three wickets at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai last night. Chasing a target of 129, Royal Challengers Bangalore recovered from a top-order collapse and chased down the target with four balls to spare. They made 132 for the loss of 7 wickets in 19.2 overs.
Earlier, RCB won the toss and elected to bowl. Put into bat, KKR were all out for 128 runs in 18.5 overs. For RCB,
Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva took four wickets giving away 20 runs. He was declared Player of the Match. KKR were reeling at 101 for nine before Umesh Yadav with 18 and Varun Chakaravarthy with 10 took them to a respectable total. Andre Russell top-scored for KKR with a decent 25.
In today's encounter, Chennai Super Kings will take on Lucknow Super Giants at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai at 7:30 pm.
