Irfan Pathan has become the fourth ex-India player from the India Legends side, which featured in the Road Safety World Series in Raipur in March, to test positive for Covid-19. The T20 World Cup-winning former all-rounder took to social media on Monday and said he is asymptomatic and is undergoing home quarantine.
"I have tested positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms and have isolated myself and quarantined at home. I would request those who came in
contact with me in the recent past to please get themselves tested," Irfan Pathan said in a social media post.
Notably, Irfan's brother Yusuf Pathan had also tested positive for Covid-19 after playing in Raipur with the India Legends squad. The captain of the decorated side, Sachin Tendulkar had also tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. Middle-order batsman Subramaniam Badrinath, who was with the rest of the squad in Raipur, also contracted the virus.
