Kings Eleven Punjab defeated Rajasthan Royals by 12 runs in Mohali on Tuesday in IPL cricket. Chasing a victory target of 183 runs, the visitors managed 170 runs for seven in 20 overs with the help of Rahul Tripathi's 50 runs. Punjab's bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami claimed two wickets each.
Put into bat first, the hosts posted challenging total of 182 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs,
riding on K.L. Rahul's 52 and David Miller's 40 runs. Rajasthan Royals' bowler Jofra Archer bagged three wickets for 15 in his four-over spell.
Earlier, the visitors won the toss and elected to field. This was Punjab's fifth win in nine matches.
On Wednesday, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Chennai Super Kings in Hyderabad at 8:00 P.M.
