Kolkata Knight Riders record thumping 10-wicket win over Gujarat Lions in IPL

Kolkata Knight Riders recorded a sensational 10-wicket win over Gujarat Lions in their opening game at Rajkot last night. Put in to bat, Gujarat had posted 183 for 4, riding on skipper Suresh Raina's unbeaten 68, and valuable contributions from Dinesh Karthik and New Zealand's Brendon McCullum.

In reply, Kolkata overhauled the target in just 14.5 overs without losing any wicket. Aussie Chris Lynn scored an unbeaten



41-ball 93, comprising 6 fours and 8 sixes. Captain Gautam Gambhir made 76 off 48 balls.

It was the highest target chased by a team in T-20 history without losing a wicket.Lynn was adjudged man of the match.

Today, Kings Eleven Punjab will take on Rising Pune Supergiant at Indore at 4 PM, while Royal Challengers Bangalore will clash with Delhi Daredevils at Bengaluru at 8 in the evening.
