MS Dhoni becomes joint leading run-scorer against RCB in IPL history

MS Dhoni equaled David Warner's record and became the joint leading run-scorer against Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League . Dhoni's best of 84 not out in the IPL also came against RCB back in 2019.

MS Dhoni needed 2 runs to get to the top spot when Chennai Super Kings took on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, but he faced only 1 ball and scored a single off it to draw level with David Warner. He walked out to loud chants of 'Dhoni, Dhoni' and drew level with David Warner who had occupied the No.1 position against RCB all on his own.

MS Dhoni has so far played 34 matches against RCB and has hit 4 half-centuries against them.

MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, the former



RCB captain, get along famously well. Over the years, the two have played several times against each other as captains of their respective IPL teams, but the camaraderie has always been the highlight of all these matches.

MS Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014 and handed over the reins to Virat Kohli. In 2017, Kohli took over as captain of India's limited-overs teams when Dhoni decided to step down.

It has been almost three years since MS Dhoni retired from international cricket but he continues to command fandom wherever he goes and it was no different on Monday. There were loud roars even as Dhoni took the single.
