The Pakistan government has allowed crowds into the cricket stadium for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic and given permission to Pakistan Super League (PSL) to have 20 per cent crowds for the tournament starting February 20.
The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the move on Thursday and said that it had received permission from the government to allow 20% capacity crowds at PSL
games.
The 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League will be played from February 20 at two venues - National Stadium in Karachi and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the PCB had earlier confirmed.
The decision of the Pakistan government means that 7,500 spectators will be allowed into the National Stadium in Karachi on the day of the match, while 5,500 people will be allowed into the stadium in Lahore.
