The leader of the attack on India's second match against Zimbabwe, Mohammed Siraj put up yet another strong performance to strengthen his credentials as a white ball bowler on Saturday, 20 August. His 8-2-16-1 helped India skittle the opposition to yet another below par total of 161 runs, which the team chased down with almost half their innings remaining.

Asked about how he has been feeling about his bowling off late, Siraj replied that he has been in a very good rhythm.

"I am in a very good rhythm and I believed that I could consistently keep hitting the good areas of the pitch. I have always backed myself, everybody has ups and downs in their lives and I just kept believing that I could do well with both red and white ball. My plan with the white ball is to keep hitting the right areas. It

does not matter if I get wickets till I am building pressure on the opponent team," he said in the post match press conference.

Speaking about his process, the right arm pacer said that he looks for wickets in the first two overs and from there it is just about hitting the right areas.

"I look for wickets in the first two overs, exploiting the swing, and then I transfer to hitting the good areas on the pitch," he said.

Talking about the reception that India got from the crowd, Siraj said that he loves to feed off their energy.

"Players get a boost from the crowd. At the time of Covid-19, you could see players losing inspiration. That is not the case anymore. I like the atmosphere, people were dancing in the stands at long on," the pacer concluded.
