Mayank Agarwal's India A beat India C to clinch the Duleep Trophy title on Sunday, September 22. India A needed 7 wickets to win the title in the final session of Day 4 and it was Prasidh Krishna who turned up the heat on Ruturaj Gaikwad's team, picking up 3 wickets.
Playing at Anantapur, Prasidh picked up the crucial wicket of centurion Sai Sudharsan who was leading India C's fight against Mayank's team and after that, dismissed Anshul
Kamboj and Baba Indrajith in quick succession helping the team to clinch the title with minutes before the close of play.
Prasidh was ably assisted by off-spinner Tanush Kotiyan who picked up crucial wickets of Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Porel who were in good form in the tournament so far. Bar Sai Sudharsan's 111 and Ruturaj Gaikwad's 44, no one from India C really stood up in the second innings, resulting in a loss by 132 runs on Sunday.
