Three more Covid-19 cases related to the Pakistan Super League surfaced on Tuesday after Australia leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed had tested positive a day earlier.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has insisted that the tournament will go ahead as scheduled.
Monday’s Pakistan Super League clash between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators was postponed by a day after Fawad Ahmed was found to be
positive.
On Tuesday, PSL said in a statement that the rescheduled match will take place on Tuesday as planned and added that a total of 244 people associated with the league were tested on the day and 3 people were found to be positive.
These individuals, including two foreign players and local player support personnel, have been quarantined at a separate floor of the team hotel, they added in the statement.
