Chris Gayle has made the bold claim that Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their final game of the IPL 2024 season on May 18 will come out on top against Chennai Super Kings. RCB had faced CSK in the IPL 2024 opener and would end up on the losing side.
The IPL 2024 Phase 2 schedule was released on March 25, with the final taking place in Chennai on May 26. All eyes were on the fixture list for RCB, who are looking to get back into the playoffs after missing out last season. However, with the final match being against Chennai, the stakes will be high for Faf du Plessis and
his men.
However, Gayle is confident that RCB will win against CSK, irrespective of what the circumstances and stakes would be at that point in time. Speaking on JioCinema, the former RCB man said he doesn't see the Bengaluru franchise to lose to CSK in their final home game.
"Always one of the biggest games of the IPL. I know it is RCB's last game of the IPL 2024 season. We don't want to be looking too ahead but I don't see CSK beating RCB at home. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are. I see RCB coming out on top on May 18," said Gayle.
