Samson breaks Dhoni's record, becomes fastest Indian to 200 IPL sixes

Sanju Samson became the fastest Indian to the landmark of 200 sixes in the IPL. The right-hander achieved the feat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between RR and DC on Tuesday, May 7 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. He reached the milestone in only his 159th innings, going past MS Dhoni, who hit his 200th six in his 165th innings.

Samson touched the 200-six mark after hitting Khaleel Ahmed over the ropes after the Royals were asked to chase down a mammoth target of 222. Samson was on 199 sixes, and he took only 6 balls to reach the epic landmark.
