Shoaib Malik will rejoin the Fortune Barishal on Friday, February 2 for the 2024 edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after abruptly leaving the tournament earlier.
The veteran played in the first 3 matches, after which he left for Dubai to “meet his family”, said Mizanur Rahman, the owner of the Barishal franchise.
Malik will
be available for Barishal’s match against Khulna Tigers to be played on Saturday, February 3 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
“Pakistani senior all-rounder Shoaib Malik will rejoin with the Fortune Barishal on 2 February 2024. In Sylhet phase, Barishal will play last game against Khulna on 3 February,” Barishal's media department wrote in a statement.
