Shreyas Iyer ruled out of entire IPL 2021, to undergo shoulder surgery after April first week

In a major setback for the Delhi Capitals, their captain Shreyas Iyer is most certain to miss the entire season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) due to the shoulder injury he suffered in the 1st ODI against England on Tuesday.

Shreyas Iyer will need surgery on his left shoulder and will go under the knife after



the first week of April. The 26-year-old will be out of action for at least 4-5 months and won't be seen on the field before September.

"Not just the IPL (2021), I think Shreyas will take about 4-5 months for recovery. So a realistic assessment will be the home T20 series against New Zealand and South Africa in September.
