Sri Lankan fast-bowler Dushmantha Chameera has been ruled out of the T20I and ODI series against India. According to an SLC media release, "Chameera is still recovering from a bronchitis and respiratory infection he contracted, and hence will not be part of the T20I series." Chameera won't be taking part in the series against India dure to bronchitis and respiratory infection. Asitha Fernando has been named as his replacement in the squad. Chameera had featured in the matches for Kandy Falcons
in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), though he was not picked in the side towards the end of the tournament.
"Only yesterday did we get back the reports, and it can be confirmed that he (Dushmantha Chameera) will miss the T20Is and ODIs against India," Sri Lanka's chief selector Upul Tharanga said at a media briefing, alongside Sri Lanka's newly appointed interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya on Wednesday, where he outlined the road ahead for Sri Lanka in T20 internationals.
