New Delhi: Former Australian skipper Steve Smith replaced New Zealand captain Kane Williamson as the number Test batsman in the ICC rankings released on Wednesday.
Williamson, who missed the second Test against England due to injury, has slipped five points behind Smith’s 891 rating points and is second in the
batters’ list.
India skipper Virat Kohli climbed to the fourth spot and has 814 points.
Also, Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant (747 points) and opener Rohit Sharma (747 points), have retained their joint sixth position.
