BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, on Sunday, has been discharged from the Apollo hospital in Kolkata. The former India captain is understood to be in a stable condition after he underwent a second angioplasty and has been advised for complete rest for a few weeks.
The former India captain underwent a second round of angioplasty, on Thursday, and two stents were inserted inside his artery for existing blockages.
In less than 3 weeks after Sourav Ganguly was discharged (January 7) from the
Apollo hospital, earlier this month, the 48-year-old former cricketer was admitted to the Apollo hospital for the 2nd time in January. Ganguly was admitted to the hospital for the second time this month after he complained of chest discomfort on Wednesday, January 27.
"Sourav Ganguly, 48 years old, male has come for a checkup of his cardiac condition. There is no change in his parameters since his last hospitalization and his vital parameters are stable," the Kolkata hospital had said earlier.
