South Africa defeated India by three wickets in a thrilling encounter at St George’s Park in Gqeberha last night. Chasing down India’s target of 125, the hosts crossed the winning line in 19 overs, finishing at 128/7. Tristan Stubbs played a match-winning knock, remaining unbeaten on 47 runs, while Gerald Coetzee provided a crucial cameo, scoring 19 off 9 balls. For India, Varun Chakravarthy claimed a five-wicket



haul. 

Earlier, put in to bat, India posted 124/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Hardik Pandya was the top scorer for the visitors with 39 runs. Axar Patel (27) and Tilak Varma (20) also made valuable contributions with the bat. Tristan Stubbs was declared player of the match. With this victory, the four-match series is now tied at 1-1. 

The third match will be played in Centurion on Nov 13.
