In ICC Womens T20 World Cup, South Africa sealed their spot in final after beating the defending champions Australia in the first semi-final match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium yesterday. In the crucial match, South Africa invited Australia to bat first. However, Aussies scored 134 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In response to this, the Proteas easily managed to chase the score in 18th over, with Anneke Bosch’s inspiring
innings of 74 not out in just 48 deliveries that knocked out the tournament favourites. Bosch also got the Player of the Match award for her promising innings.
Now, the second semi-final match between New Zealand and West Indies will be played today at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The match will begin at 07:30 PM IST. The winner of this match will face South Africa in the finals on this Sunday in Dubai.
