Dubai: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium last night. Chasing the target of 165 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad made 167 runs for the loss of three wickets with the help of 60 by Jason Roy and 51 not out by Skipper Kane Williamson. Jason Roy was named Player of the Match.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals put up 164 runs in the stipulated 20 overs with heroics of Skipper Sanju Samson who scored 82 runs. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Siddarth Kaul picked up two wickets while Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan bagged a
wicket each.
This was the second win of the season for Kane Williamson-led Hyderabad side, but they are still at the bottom of the points table. Rajasthan are at the sixth spot in the points table and they have four more games left in their campaign and in order to qualify for the playoffs, they need to do well in all the games.
Two matches are slated for today. Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Delhi Capitals in Sharjah at 3.30 p.m. and Mumbai Indians will face Punjab Kings at 07.30 p.m. in Abu Dhabi.
