Suryakumar Yadav inches closer to No.1 Babar Azam in ICC T20I Player Rankings

India's star batter Suryakumar Yadav has inched closer to becoming the World No.1 T20I batter in the World. In the latest released ICC Players' rankings, Yadav has scaled one position up after overtaking South Africa's Aiden Markram to now rank No.2 batter in the World. Also, Pakistan captain Babar Azam has entered the top three again as he too went past Markram. 

Suryakumar has performed well for the Indian team in recent times with his bat again doing the



talking against Australia in the recently concluded series. Yadav scored a crucial knock of 69 off 36 balls and partnered with Virat Kohli to help India win the third match. He was also among the runs in the Asia Cup 2022 with 139 runs in his name in 5 matches. He played a blistering 68* off 26 deliveries and a 34-run knock against Sri Lanka. Yadav is  801 rating points, 2 more than Babar Azam. However, Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan has kept his first spot in the chart with 861 ratings.
