Suryakumar Yadav continued his brilliant run in the T20I format as he became the third fastest Indian batter to go past the 1000-run mark in the shortest format of the game in Guwahati. Suryakumar reached the landmark during the second T20I against South Africa when he crossed the 24-run mark in Guwahati on October 2.
Virat Kohli is the fastest Indian batter to get 1000 runs in T20Is as he took only 27 innings to reach the milestone. KL Rahul is next on the list who achieved the feat in 29 innings. Suryakumar is the 9th Indian batter to do so, joining the elite list of batters that includes the likes of Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, and Suresh Raina.
Because of his propensity
to target bowlers from the very first ball, Suryakumar Yadav has been an unstoppable beast since he made his international debut in 2021 following a few highly successful Indian Premier League seasons. Suryakumar, who first showed potential in 2021, has substantially improved and is currently the player who scores the most runs in the shortest format in 2022.
Suryakumar is referred to as India's Mr. 360 because of his easy sweep shots, superb wrist work, and capacity to knock the ball all over the field and find openings. Due to his abilities and drive to accomplish the ideal finishing, his admirers have compared him to players like the illustrious Australian cricketer Michael Bevan and the great South African batsman AB De Villiers.
