The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday confirmed that the Pakistan cricket team will arrive in the UK on June 28 to begin preparation for the scheduled 3-match Test and T20I series.

All the players will undergo the 14-day quarantine at Blackfinch New Road, Worcester before transferring to Derbyshire’s The Incora County Ground on July 13, ECB said in a press statement.

"All members of the tour party will have been tested prior to travel. Those who are testing positive for COVID-19 will not be permitted to travel with the advance group on Sunday," the statement further read.

The PCB on Tuesday had



said that 7 more players of the team tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total tally to 10.

Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan and Wahab Riaz were the other players to have tested positive. Support staff, Malang Ali was also confirmed to have contracted the virus.

None of the seven players and masseur had reported any prior symptoms of Covid-19 until they underwent first round of testing on Monday ahead of the side’s departure for Manchester.

According to series SOPs, the Pakistan team will undergo, at least, five tests in the lead up to the first Test.
