ICC ODI rankings have seen quite a few changes after the conclusion of Pakistan versus Zimbabwe 3-match ODI series on Tuesday. Two of Pakistan's best performer in the series-- captain Babar Azam and pacer Shaheen Afridi has seen positives for themselves in the latest ICC release.
Babar Azam aggregated 221 runs against Zimbabwe, which includes a knock of 125 in the 3rd match which Pakistan lost in the Super Over, to see him gain 8 points. The 26-year-old is now 18 points behind second-ranked Rohit Sharma and 34 points behind India captain Virat Kohli, who is the number one ranked ODI batsman. Ross Taylor, Faf du Plessis, Kane Williamson, Aaron Finch, David Warner, Quinton de Kock and Jonny Bairstow are the next 7 batsmen inside the top-ten rankings after Babar Azam.
In
the ICC ODI rankings for bowlers, Pakistan pacer Saheen Afridi has emrged as the biggest gainer. The 20-year-old has jumped 8 places to acheive his career-best 16th position. Afridi registered a match-winning haul of 5/49 in the first ODI against Zimbabwe on October 30. Trent Boult and Jasprit are number 1 and 2 ranked ODI bowlers, respectively.
Shakib Al Hasan's 2-year banned ended on October 29 and with the former Bangladesh capain has reclaimed number one spot in the all-rounder's rankings. Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi slipped to second spot with 301 rating points after Shakib’s re-inclusion in the rankings. Nabi is massive 72 points behind Nabi now. Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes occupy the 3rd and 4th spot, respectively. Ravindra Jadeja at 9th poistion, is the only Indian in the list.
