India star Virat Kohli scripted history by becoming the first batter to score 3000 runs in ICC Men's World Cups, spanning both ODI and T20I formats. Kohli achieved this milestone during his 37-run innings against Bangladesh in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Kohli exhibited glimpses of his vintage form, scoring 37 runs off 28 deliveries in the Super 8 match against Bangladesh. Kohli's innings featured four and three massive sixes, leading to a strike rate of 132.14. This performance was a much-needed return to form for Kohli, who had faced a lean patch in previous games.

Kohli is the leading run-scorer in ICC T20 World Cup history, amassing 1,207 runs in 32 matches at an impressive average of 63.52 and a strike rate of 129.78.
