Delhi : Virat Kohli, the legendary India batsman, has stated that he was regarded as a "failed captain" for India because the country did not win any ICC awards while he was in charge. However, he also stated that he would not judge himself in that manner.

India's most successful Test captain is Virat Kohli, who led his team to 40 victories and remained atop the rankings for 42 months. Kohli's accomplishments as captain of India include winning 65 ODIs and 30 T20Is, but he has not won a global

trophy.

In addition to reaching the semifinals of the 2019 ODI World Cup and failing to advance past the fourth stage of the 2021 Men's T20 World Cup, India finished as runners-up in the 2017 Champions Trophy and the final of the 2021 World Test Championship under his direction.

“You play to win tournaments, but to be honest, a lot was made of it. After three ICC tournaments, I was.. because I captained the Champions Trophy in 2017, the World Cup in 2019, and the Test Championship in 2021.
