Shikhar Dhawan has poked fun at the Pakistan team's fielding during their warm-up game against Australia on Tuesday, October 3.
The Pakistan cricket team's fielding mishaps have once again come under the spotlight during their game against the Aussies in the lead up to the ICC World Cup 2023. The game, currently underway at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, has seen a series of fielding errors from Babar Azam and Co.
One such incident occurred during the 23rd over of Australia's innings. Haris Rauf delivered a short-of-a-length ball on off stump, which Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne attempted to direct towards deep backward square
leg.
Despite the ball not initially appearing to be heading for the boundary, a comical mix-up between Pakistani fielders Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz resulted in an unnecessary four runs being conceded.
This prompted a hilarious reaction from Dhawan, who poked fun at the Pakistan team and their fielding during the match.
"Pakistan & fielding never ending love story #PakistanFielding #PakCricket," tweeted Dhawan.
This is not the first time that Pakistan's fielding has been called into question, with numerous instances of miscommunication and accidents on the field having gone viral in the past.
