Gujarat Giants (GG) beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB-W) by six wickets in match 12 of the Women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL 2025) on Thursday, February 27 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. After being put in to bat first, RCB were restricted to a below-par total of 125/7 in their allotted 20 overs as Tanuja Kanwar (2/16) and Deandra Dottin (2/31) picked up two wickets each.

In reply, Gujarat comfortably chased down the target in 16.3 overs riding on a splendid half-century from their

captain, Ashleigh Gardner (58 off 31). The Gujarat skipper also scalped one wicket with the ball and was hence adjudged Player of the Match for guiding her team to a commanding victory.

Earlier in the day, RCB were rocked early as their opener Danielle Wyatt-Hodge (4 off 4) was trapped in front of the stumps by Deandra Dottin in the first over itself. More misery awaited for the hosts as Tanuja Kanwar got Ellyse Perry holed out to deep square leg in the second over for a four-ball duck, leaving RCB on 16/2.
