India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma have filed for divorce months after speculation over their separation. Over the past few months, there were widespread rumours about the couple parting ways following some activities on their personal social media handles. The duo has not been seen together in a long time and was also not present in the photographs shared with their fans in recent times.
Recently, Dhanashree’s Lawyer Advocate Aditi Mohoni told India Today that the matter is in court and hence she cannot give details of the proceedings. However,
she requested the fans not to believe on the rumours spreading on the internet.
“I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated.
Among several claims, one particular report going viral on social media stated that Dhanashree has demanded Rs 60 crore in alimony after the divorce. However, her family has clarified that no such demand has been made by her and urged the fans to refrain from sharing unverified information.
