Zimbabwe produced a spirited performance with the ball to stun World Champions India and secure a 13-run win in Harare on July 6, Saturday. Sikandar Raza and his bowlers were able to defend 115 runs as India were bundled out for just 102 runs in 19.5 overs as India suffered their first T20I loss in the year. Sikandar Raza and Tendai Chatara picked up 3 wickets each and Clive Madande's late blitz helped secure the win as India were left to rue for their poor bowling in the death and rash batting.

India had won the toss and opted to field first on the day. The decision was vindicated in the first ball of the second over as Mukesh Kumar cleaned Innocent Kaia for a

duck. Wesley Madhevere and Brian Bennett would then put together a partnership to steady things for the hosts. This is when the ball was given to Ravi Bishnoi, who turned the game for India.

Bishnoi would clean up both Bennett and Madhevere in his first two overs as India came back into the contest. Captain Sikandar Raza and Dion Myers once again did the repair work as Zimbabwe went to 74 for 3 and looked set for a good finish. Avesh Khan would come in to dismiss Raza and this triggered a major collapse for the hosts. Bishnoi and Sundar were the chief architects of the collapse as Zimbabwe went to 90 for 9 and it seemed like India were set to bundle them out under 100.
