India has taken a 2-0 lead over Uzbekistan in the Asia-Oceania Zone Group-I tie played in Bengaluru. Ramkumar Ramanathan and debutant Prajnesh Gunneswaran won their Singles matches yesterday to give India a 2-0 lead. While Ramanathan defeated Temur Ismailov, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 7-5, Gunneswaran beat Sanjar Fayzieb, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3,



6-4.

Today, in the Doubles tie, the pair of Rohan Bopanna and Sriram Balaji will take on the duo of Farrukh Dustov and Sanjar Fayziev.The Reverse Singles matches will be played tomorrow.

The winner of the tie will qualify for the World Group play-offs, to be played in September.
