Indian challenge in the singles event of the Denmark Open Badminton Tournament at Odense came to an end yesterday.
In women's singles, World champion P V Sindhu crashed out of the tournament after losing to Korea's An Se-Young. Sindhu lost the tie in straight games 21-14,21-17.
In Men' singles, Sameer Verma lost to china's Chen long 21-10, 21-12. In another Men's singles, B Sai Praneeth lost to top seed Kento Momota of Japan 21-6,
21-14.
In Men's doubles event, pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwik Sairaj lost to Chinese pair of Cheng Kai Han and Hao Dong Zhou 21-16, 21-15.
Sindhu had moved in the second round after registering a straight-game win over Indonesia's former World Junior Champion Gregoria Mariska 22-20, 21-18.
Earlier, Saina Nehwal day before yesterday lost her tie in the first round.
